Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer II to join our dynamic team. As a full-service architectural and engineering firm, we provide comprehensive design services to markets including education, healthcare, commercial, data centers, research and development, sports, recreation and athletics, and industrial sectors. Responsibilities
- Act as project mechanical engineer for the design, development, and documentation of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and temperature controls systems on small to medium-sized projects.
- Assist lead project mechanical engineer with similar responsibilities on large and complex projects.
- Perform energy and economic analysis for proposed building systems.
- Research and document any required code review for assigned projects.
- Conduct product research as needed for project development.
- Attend project team coordination meetings and owner review meetings.
- Develop materials for client presentations and review meetings.
- Present mechanical system concepts / designs to clients and / or design review committees.
- Develop and edit project specifications.
- Review product shop drawings / submittals.
- Review and respond to requests for information (RFIs).
- Visit project construction sites to review progress and answer contractor inquiries.
- Maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
- Participate in ongoing continuous improvement efforts and identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and service, and follow up with improvement implementation.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and design software.Strong understanding of mechanical engineering, project management, and architecture.Experience with HVAC systems and building codes.Familiarity with CAD and BIM technologies.Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.4-7 years of relevant experience.Significant knowledge of structural design for residential and commercial construction.Additional Skills & Qualifications
LEED accreditation is a plus.BIM experience is advantageous.Licensed Professional Engineer preferred.Work Environment

This is a Permanent position based out of Troy, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00 / hr.
