ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Triage of critical patients
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient history, treatment estimates, and admitting and discharging of patients.
- Restrain animals for examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Perform venipuncture.
- Monitor anesthesia and recover patients post-operatively
- Maintain cleanliness and order in work areas.
- Perform basic kennel duties as required.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with Doctors and clients regarding their patients' needs.
SCHEDULE :
Overnight shift (6 : 30 PM - 7 : 00 AM).Initial training workdays will be : Monday, Tuesday, WednesdayUpon completion of training, workdays will be : Sunday, Monday, TuesdayOvertime and Saturdays may be required.QUALIFICATIONS :
High School diploma or equivalent.Veterinary Technician experience is required.Licensure is preferred but not required.Genuinely enjoys working with animals and can effectively deal with them even when they are stressed, ill, or in pain.Must be able to lift and restrain pets of at least 40 pounds, and work on feet most of the day.Excellent customer service, computer, and phone etiquette skills are required.Ability to bend, stand, stoop, walk, and stand for an extended period of time.Required to lift up to forty (40) pounds.BENEFITS PACKAGE :
