Ghaly Sleep has an immediate opening for a full-time Nurse Practitioner. We are one of the largest independent sleep medicine practices in Upstate New York, providing adult and pediatric consultative and sleep testing services.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and evaluates patient data, sleep test findings (to diagnose nature or extent of sleep disorder) and to assesses treatments
• Initiates referrals for further sleep testing and other specialist consultations, including psychological testing for insomnia as needed
• Collaborates with physicians, psychologist or other professionals to discuss treatment plans and progress
• Attends and participates in staff meetings
• Communicates clearly and accurately with clients, visitors, and colleagues : displaying friendly, helpful behavior
• Uses judgment and tact, particularly when communicating sensitive information.
• Displays sensitivity to the needs of clients, visitors and colleagues, treating everyone with consideration, courtesy and respect
• Assists in the education of patients and family members
• Provides pharmacologic consultation and intervention, including prescription of medications related to sleep
• Evaluates the effectiveness of prescribed medication while considering potential negative side effects
• Completes all documentation regarding all assessments in a timely and competent manner. Knows and adheres to all federal, state, and local statutes and regulatory agency standards
• NO SLEEP EXPERIENCE NEEDED
