Academic achievement comes first. Character development is a close second. Both are non-negotiable and require every leader to act as a team player. This may include planning and teaching after-school tutorials, pulling small groups, covering classes, or coordinating Saturday school. We move the academic dial together with urgency and excellence.

Mission

The Dean of Academics serves as the campus academic leader responsible for scholar achievement and growth leading to an A rating by TEA. Working closely with the Principal, Director of Curriculum & Instruction (C&I), Chief of Academics, and interventionists, the Dean ensures that instruction, assessment, and intervention systems drive measurable academic excellence.

Reports To

The Dean of Academics reports to the Principal and Chief of Academics.

• The assigned campus earns an A rating from the Texas Education Agency
• The assigned campus earns Distinction Designations in multiple content areas on state tests
• (K-5) 60% of scholars achieve Meets or above on benchmarks and state tests
• (K-5) 25% of scholars achieve Masters on benchmarks and state tests
• (6-8) 65% of scholars achieve Meets or above on benchmarks and state tests
• (6-8) 30% scholars achieve Masters on benchmarks and state tests
• (9-12) 70% scholars achieve Meets or above on benchmarks and state tests
• (9-12) 35% of scholars achieve Masters on benchmarks and state tests
• 70% of scholars meet or exceed expected growth

Performance Indicators

Position Information

Department : Curriculum & Instruction

Employment Terms : Full-Time / Year-Round / Salary- $52,000-$65,000

Position Pay Scale : Dean & Assistant Principal Scale

Location : In-Person, Beta Academy Confetti or Flagship Campus

Work Schedule : Monday–Friday, 7 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM, with occasional extended or evening hours during testing windows, campus events, or teacher in-service days.

Work Environment : Professional office and school setting with frequent interaction with teachers, staff, and administrators. Dress code enforced at all times.
