Seismic design and retrofit experience. Experience with sustainable design and LEED projects. Familiarity with design-build and fast-track project delivery methods.
My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer in Portland, Oregon with a Professional Engineer (PE) license and a minimum of 6 years of experience in structural design and analysis for residential, commercial, and educational projects . The ideal candidate will lead projects from concept through construction, ensuring structural integrity, code compliance, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead structural engineering design for residential, commercial, and educational facilities.
- Perform detailed structural analysis and calculations using industry-standard software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, RAM, RISA, Revit).
- Prepare construction documents including drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure construction aligns with design intent and code requirements.
- Review and approve shop drawings and submittals.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national building codes and standards (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, etc.).
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
