Athletic Trainer

The Harvey School is seeking a part-time Athletic Trainer for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a 10-month, hourly, position working approximately 25 hours per week. Hours may vary slightly week to week and will be primarily during weekday afternoons / early evenings with occasional weekends.The Athletic Trainerprovides preventative care to Harvey School student-athletes and supports coaches by caring for players sports-related injuries.

• Primary Responsibilities
• Administers primary clinical evaluations and subsequent treatment and rehabilitation programs.
• Proficient in assessing, treating, and managing concussions.
• Partners with the Athletic Department regarding on-field protocol, such as (but not limited to) severe weather plans, concussion protocol, cervical spine injuries, emergency action plans, etc.
• Supervises Middle and Upper School practices and home athletics events. As well as some select away games.
• Verifies, reviews, and organizes student physicals, health records, and parental release forms in conjunction with school nursing personnel and the Athletic Department to determine athletic eligibility.
• Manages medical inventory and budgetary items.
• Maintains a clean, professional, and welcoming training room.
• Works closely with the Athletic Department administration in determining safety and medical concerns for athletic events.
• Administers and coordinates the ImPact testing for all student / athletes.
• Coordinates and Instructs CPR / First Aid certification classes for all coaches.
• Other responsibilities deemed necessary by the Athletic Director.
• Minimum Qualifications
• Experience working on and / or leading a team of sports medicine support staff in partnership with an athletics department.
• NATABOC certification. Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as an athletic trainer in NY.
• Bachelors degree in a health-related course of study.
• Current CPR / AED certification required.

The pay range for this position is $45.00-$55.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
