QUALIFICATIONS :
High School Graduate or Equivalent Must be a “Certified” Medical Assistant (CMA) – a graduate of a Medical Assistant program that awards certification and / or credentials by examination. Southeast Health recognizes and accepts the following credentials for CMA applicants :
- RMA – Registered Medical Assistant
- AMT – American Medical Technologist
- CMA – Certified Medical Assistant
- AAMA – American Association of Medical Assistants
- CCMA – Clinical Medical Assistant
- NHA – National Healthcareer Association
- NCMA – National Certified Medical Assistant
- NCCT – National Center for Competency Testing
- NRCMA – Nationally Certified Medical Assistant
Successful completion of Southeast Health pharmacology exam BCLS certification (current) Medical office experience preferred
LANGUAGE / COMMUNICATION SKILLS :
Ability to effectively communicate in English both in writing and orally Ability to effectively communicate in an emergency situationSKILLS :
