Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Fortive’s leader and executive development strategy that accelerates leader readiness and advancement.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive all people learning strategy that embodies Fortive's vision, mission, and values.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to executives and high-potential talent, fostering a pipeline of future leaders.
  • Lead and manage a team of development, facilitation, and learning professionals, ensuring high-impact delivery and evaluation of learning and development programs and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, HR Centers of Excellence (COE’s), and the Fortive Business System Office to identify and address learning needs, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Lead, a team to design and facilitate executive and people leadership workshops, assessments, coaching sessions, mentoring and learning experiences for all employees, catering to diverse styles and needs.
  • Drive the digital learning platform strategy, leveraging the latest technologies, including AI, to enhance learning experiences.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs, utilizing data-driven insights for continuous improvement and innovation.

Reporting Structure : This role reports directly to the Vice President of Inclusive Culture & People Enablement and will lead a talent development and learning team.

Key Organizational Relationships :

  • Partner with the Fortive Business System (FBS) Office to integrate the tools and methods of FBS into consistent learning experiences.
  • Engage with business leaders across Fortive's operating companies to align learning initiatives with business goals.
  • Mentor and coach executives and senior leaders to advance their development.
  • Collaborate with other COE’s and HR partners to integrate learning and development with talent processes, such as performance management and employee engagement and deliver learning methods at point of impact.
  • Mentor and develop a team of talent development and all employee learning experts to deliver high impact learning experiences and drive a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, including executive coaches, talent assessments, and learning services.
  • Who You Are / Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in learning and development, human resources, organizational development, industrial psychology, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in executive coaching, organizational development and learning in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in designing and delivering innovative and impactful learning solutions.
  • Experience effectively scaling learning solutions for impact across a highly matrixed global organization.
  • Experience in building and managing a digital learning platform, using various learning technologies and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and evaluation techniques.
  • Certifications in Change management, talent assessment, and / or 360 feedback tools are advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to inspire across diverse stakeholder groups and learning styles.
  • Strategic thinking with a detail-oriented approach, comfortable in a decentralized, lean environment.
  • Ability to influence across all stakeholder levels including executives and senior leaders.
  • Highly curious with a desire to learn and continuously improve while biasing for action and results.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change and elevate team and business performance.
  • Inclusive leadership strengths with acute listening skills, ability to gain followership, and a team-first orientation.
