Scheduling preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime. Developing budgets for equipment maintenance and repairs. Collaborating with mechanics and maintenance personnel to ensure proper equipment upkeep. Manage capital expenditure plans for acquiring new equipment or upgrading existing facilities based on operational needs and safety considerations. Ensure proper maintenance of company infrastructure like buildings, roads, and storage facilities. Implement strategies to optimize asset utilization and lifespan while minimizing operating costs. May be involved in environmental compliance tasks, ensuring the company adheres to all regulations related to dust control, water management, and waste disposal. Develop and implement emergency response plans for various potential incidents such as fires, equipment malfunctions, or blasting accidents. Maintain clear communication channels with all personnel regarding safety protocols, changes in procedures, and any potential hazards. Strong understanding of MSHA regulations, safety best practices, and potentially environmental regulations relevant to landscape rock quarries. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify safety hazards, assess equipment maintenance needs, and address environmental concerns. Ability to manage multiple priorities, delegate tasks effectively, and work under pressure. Proficiency in using relevant software for maintenance planning, record keeping, or safety training. Safety Management : Develops and enforces safety policies / procedures (MSHA compliant), conducts inspections, investigates incidents, develops training programs, and promotes a strong safety culture. Asset Management : Oversees equipment maintenance plans, manages capital expenditures for new equipment, ensures infrastructure maintenance, and optimizes asset utilization.
