Campus Recruiter
Overview
The Campus Recruiter drives the recruitment and selection efforts for the internship program in collaboration with the broader internship team. This role is responsible for developing and executing campus internal and online recruiting strategies that align with the networks selection contract and conversion goals. The Campus Recruiter analyzes recruitment metrics recommends improvements and ensures accurate records in the Internet Collaborative Information Management Systems (iCIMS). This position plays a key role in fostering a positive internship culture by engaging office staff and leadership to support and promote the program. The recruiters efforts contribute to the overall success of the program from sourcing high-quality candidates to facilitating a smooth transition from internship to full-time opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities
Sourcing
- Build and develop effective referral sources :
In-office : current and former interns FRs staff leaders
On-campus : COIs professors department heads athletics career services student organizationsActively participate in campus clubs and organizations to promote and brand Northwestern MutualCoordinate advertising and marketing strategies on campus including the career services website online job postings and advertising to include ads direct mail community events etc.Develop relationships with other Northwestern Mutual recruiters to share leads and best practicesPrepare and maintain recruiting and marketing materialsDetermine schedule and coordinate on-campus recruiting activitiesSelection
Specific selection process accountability to include but not limited to screening candidates conducting initial interviews administering selection tools and guiding candidates through the selection processReview resumes and schedule initial interviewsCommunicate effectively about information and language regarding all aspects of the financial representative career and each step of the selection processAccountability Tracking and Analysis
Report weekly campus recruiting activity to leadership teamDevelop proficiency and use of home office-supported software to maintain candidate databases and accurate records of prospects to ensure efficiency of the selection processAssist in the coordination of leadership team meetings and the preparation of activity / results reportsAnalyze recruiting ratios to identify inefficiencies in selection process; establish and implement improvementsMay include the oversight of contract and licensing responsibilitiesQualifications
Bachelors degree preferred0-3 years professional work experience preferably in sales recruiting or related fieldExperience in the financial services industry a plusDemonstrated ability to work professionally as a team member and with all levels of peopleExperience with prospecting; generating leads via phone or face-to-face interactions preferredDemonstrated knowledge of sourcing platforms (LinkedIn Indeed Handshake)Strong network of personal / professional advocates and campus relationshipsCompensation : $50000-$55000 with bonus opportunities
