Director of eDiscovery Process Management

Taft is seeking a Director of eDiscovery Process Management to support our offices.

We are seeking a Director of eDiscovery Process Management with at least 7 year of experience to support our eDiscovery Services team. The Director of eDiscovery Process Management is responsible for the design, documentation, and implementation of discovery workflows, processes, and standards for the Taft Discovery Group. Approximately seventy percent of this role focuses on process development and optimization, carried out in collaboration with Senior eDiscovery Counsel to ensure consistent, efficient, and defensible execution.

This position manages the eDiscovery Project Management team to ensure adherence to established workflows, communication expectations, quality requirements, and service standards for internal and external clients. The Director serves as a key liaison between project managers, litigation teams, and firm leadership to support operational alignment, training, and continuous improvement.

Success in this role requires strong communication skills, disciplined process thinking, and the ability to translate strategic objectives into clear, adoptable workflows and documentation that support a consistent and reliable client service experience. Essential Duties :

Process Development & Workflow Governance

• Execute process-related strategy, direction, and workflow initiatives set by Senior eDiscovery Counsel to ensure consistent implementation across the team.
• Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures and workflow documentation across the eDiscovery lifecycle under the direction of Senior eDiscovery Counsel.
• Evaluate existing processes and implement enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, consistency, and defensibility.
• Lead implementation and adoption of new workflows to align with strategic objectives, firm policies, and technology capabilities.
• Partner with leadership to identify automation opportunities and support proof-of-concept testing and technology adoption.
