Alarm Technician

We are currently seeking applications for Fire Alarm Technicians for service and project assignments within the 4-6 hour radius of where you live. This role works primarily at Walmart stores to install new or upgraded fire alarm panels and associated devices, including Burglary Alarm systems. Candidates must be comfortable with night work and willing to travel for up to two weeks at a time. The role requires expertise in installing commercial fire alarm panels and devices, along with strong troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities :

• Install, repair, or upgrade fire alarm systems and program control panels according to building plans and electrical layouts.
• Mount sensors at appropriate locations, including drilling holes for cabling and accessing crawlspaces or attics.
• Ensure all work complies with current codes and regulations.
• Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit work.
• Complete all wiring, connections, and equipment installations to ensure compliance with electrical and fire codes.
• Test newly installed fire alarm systems and component devices to ensure they are operational.
• Troubleshoot new system installations to ensure proper functioning and compliance with local, county, state, or federal codes, and legal and / or insurance requirements.
