Personal Care Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to support a person with special needs in daily activities, ensuring their safety, well-being, and independence in accordance with DBHDD (Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities) guidelines.

The responsibilities include :

• Assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, as well as supporting medication management and health monitoring.
• The aide will provide companionship and emotional support, help with mobility and transfer assistance, and aid in meal preparation and feeding. Additionally, the role involves facilitating participation in community activities and outings, observing and reporting any changes in health or behavior, and maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior experience working with individuals with special needs preferred. Excellent communication, patience, and respect for the client's dignity and independence are essential. The ability to follow detailed care plans and instructions is required. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be necessary, and first aid / CPR certifications are preferred.
