Overview

We are looking for an experienced architect who shares this calling. Qualified candidates should be Registered Architects with experience in K-12 schools and higher education preferred. We are looking for architects passionate about education, with innovative thinking and the ambition to become a thought leader in the field of education design.
The Project Architect is a licensed architect responsible for the development of project vision, design, and details for the production of complete, accurate, and well-coordinated design documents. The Project Architect will also be responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating complex projects and / or multiple projects simultaneously in collaboration with the Project Manager, as applicable. The Project Architect will have a passion for continuous improvement of project deliverables related to overall project design, performance, and technical innovation. It is essential the individual possess excellent listening and communication skills to foster cooperation with Project Team members as a representative of Cooper Carry and our clientele. A strong sense of accountability and the ability to work with colleagues in various roles throughout the firm to ensure project success is a must.

Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to :
Establishing trusting relationships with Clients, Consultants, GCs, fabricators, and suppliers
Supervisory Responsibilities :
May directly supervise Architects and designers. Responsibilities directly involving subordinates includes : mentoring, training, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance relative to established project requirements and budgets; rewarding and disciplining employees; and aiding in problem resolution as it relates to individual(s) and project(s) needs. All supervisory responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
