The Distribution Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the safe, timely, and accurate distribution and delivery of food products from the Nutrition Center to school sites (MPS). The role includes supervising food delivery drivers, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, troubleshooting distribution issues, managing inventory data, and operating warehouse equipment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Train and support food delivery drivers.
  • Enforce HACCP food safety standards, monitor food temps.
  • Resolve delivery issues and manage shortages / substitutions.
  • Maintain records (orders, logs, inspections).
  • Operate forklift and pallet jack; ensure proper storage and equipment return.
  • Collaborate with departments and follow safety protocols.
  • Provide courteous service and support district goals.

Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3 years of food distribution coordination (or equivalent experience).
  • Must pass a physical exam.

    • Required Skills & Knowledge :

  • Food safety regulations, HACCP standards.
  • Safe forklift operation and warehouse logistics.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

    • Licenses & Certifications :

  • Forklift Operator License.
  • ServSafe Certification (by end of probation).
  • Valid Minnesota Drivers License (may be required).

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, climbing, kneeling.
  • Indoor and outdoor work; must pass a pre-placement physical exam.

    • Shift :   6-230

    Pay Rate :  $23.21

    Benefits :   Health care insurance benefits available first of the month following 60 days of employment. Thirty (30) hours worked per week must be averaged in order to maintain coverage. 401k enrollment is available per the Secure Act guidelines. Earned Sick and Safe time is accrued and can be used per the State of MN guidelines.
