Please include their full name.This incentive is only available for new employees. Rehires are not eligible for the sign-on bonuses.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Coordinate events that raise the moral and awareness of consumers, family and the community in a variety of topics pertinent to developmental disabilities, including IRC’s annual Fall Festival, and / or similar events as directed by the Program Manager Community Engagement and Training Unit (CETU).Coordinate with the City of San Bernardino to obtain the proper permits for special events when applicable.Secure sponsorship for special events, which include generating sponsorship leads after the sponsorship strategic plan is approved by manager.Coordinate with Facilities and Procurement to obtain needed space within IRC when applicable.Collaborate with the IRC Procurement Department to secure supplies.Establish and execute marketing plan for special events, including but not limited to event flyers, newsletters, website announcements, emails to community members and staff, day program visits, collaborative meetings, and Facebook updates with oversight the Manager Community Engagement in collaboration with Community Relations Specialist and CST III Community Engagement.Draft a logistical plan for special events which includes but not limited to announcements for the event emcee, event layouts, and event schedule and review with Manager, Community Engagement and before implementation.Track all financial expenditures, including creating an event budget, collaborating with the Accounting Department for check request and financial recaps.Recruit and confirm vendors for special events.Recruit and gainfully utilize special event volunteers. Document volunteer attendance and responsibilities.Obtain raffles and prizes by creating lead list, write and send request and thank you letters then track all raffle and prizes as received.Coordinate special event set up and break down with oversight from the Manager, Community Engagement.Work with Consumer Advisory Committee and Consumer Advocates in developing, facilitating, and marketing three main annual events. Winter Dance, Voters Registration, CAC Casino night.Assist the Consumer Advocates of the Consumer Advisory Committee by creating marketing material for events, providing consumer trainings and / or attending and documenting all meetings as directed by the Program Manager Community Engagement and Training Unit (CETU).Assist with the guidance / support for outreach efforts of the agency with the consumer advocates.Establish and maintain cooperative relationships IRC stakeholders; consumers, vendors, and families.Assist in the design and implement community projects focused on outreach to underserved demographic populations; with a on focus the Multi-Cultural Community and individuals with a primary diagnosis of Autism.Perform different or additional work as assigned.MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelors degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Business, Social Work, Psychology, or related field from an accredited school.Demonstrated ability for public speaking, public relations, and events development.Bilingual preferred.Ability to handle change well and be flexible and adaptable in dealing with interruptions, new priorities, and new assignments.Ability to follow oral and written direction.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.Good verbal and written communication skills.Full use of an automobile, possession of a valid driver's license and liability insurance for the minimum amount prescribed by law or ability to provide for independent transportation.
