What You'll Do :

• Promote Safety. Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
• Operate Mobile Crane. Will operate a mobile crane in and around plant locations. Operate haul trucks and other construction equipment to transport and dump loose materials such as sand, gravel, and crushed rock, and / or operate a lowboy trailer to transport equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Inspect Equipment. Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with Vulcan standards. Complete daily mobile equipment reports and other relevant documentation with accuracy. Must be able to handle and understand Department of Transportation regulations, keeping all documentation up to date.
• Maintain Equipment. Maintain equipment performance by checking vehicle fluid levels, and assist in performing other minor maintenance. Report unsafe mechanical conditions to supervisor.
• Monitor Processes, Materials, and Surroundings. Must have the ability to operate all types of heavy equipment to assist with the loading and unloading on the lowboy.
• Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.
