This is a remote position.
We are seeking an experienced Outpatient Coding Specialist to accurately assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for a variety of outpatient services, including ambulatory procedures, diagnostic imaging, and clinic visits. This remote role is ideal for coders who excel in independent work environments and are motivated by performance-based compensation. Coders will be expected to maintain high productivity and quality standards while navigating complex documentation across multiple specialties.

- Code outpatient encounters with precision, excluding emergency department and professional billing charts
- Interpret clinical documentation to ensure accurate code assignment and compliance with payer guidelines
- Maintain productivity benchmarks (average 7 charts / hour) and quality scores above 95%
- Collaborate with auditing teams for feedback and continuous improvement
- Stay current with coding updates and regulatory changes
Requirements
Certification : Active AHIMA or AAPC Certification (CPC, CCS, RHIT, or RHIA) required.Experience : Minimum of 2 years of outpatient hospital coding experienceTechnology : Proficiency with EPIC and 3M 360 platforms.Knowledge : Strong understanding of outpatient coding guidelines and medical terminologySkills : High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and excellent communication.Work Environment : Remote work with flexible scheduling options.Benefits
