Title - SR .Net Application Developer

Location - Little Rock, AR (Onsite)

On-Site Work ONLY  for the first 3-6 months. Options to become Hybrid after the probation period based on evaluation.

Candidates need to be  W-2 or I-9  directly to the submitting vendor.

Overview

Arkansas DFA has a variety of custom, aging applications written in older, unsupported technologies. These are primarily VB6 Windows forms-based applications or desktop applications. DFA is modernizing all custom development by transitioning to web-based, HTMLS applications using MVC Technology.

DFA is looking for a .Net Developer for modernizing these applications to ensure security, compliance, accessibility and compatibility with current technology.

Applications Development is migrating the aging applications from the current unsupported platform to a modernized and enhanced solution while incorporating additional features requested from the business users.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of each item below :
  • Develop complex solutions using both out of the box features as well as custom development for .Net solutions and image capture.
  • Maintain and enhance the payment process for Operations in order to generate files to apply payments to the taxpayers accounts in AIRS
  • Maintain and develop packages to extract data elements into constructed data layouts.
  • Maintain complicated applications supported by Applications Development : Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), Ad Valorem and Racing License Application.
  • Assist state employees with .Net solutions and mentors on best practices
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of SQL Server installation, maintenance, and optimization experience
  • Experience with design and maintenance of TDE Encryption
  • Experience using integration services or SSIS packages to import and export data to / from SQL
  • Experience developing window services
  • Experience developing web services
  • Experience designing and testing disaster recovery plans
  • Ability to write and review VB.Net code
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience developing detailed technical infrastructure diagrams and specifications
  • Education requirement of a BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other equivalent education.
