Overview : A respected and growing law firm in North Carolina is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate with 2–7 years of experience to join its dynamic litigation team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical abilities, excellent writing skills, and a proactive approach to case management. This is an opportunity to work on complex, high-stakes business disputes in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Handle all aspects of commercial litigation, including legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, conducting discovery, and participating in hearings, depositions, and trial preparation.
Manage case files and maintain effective communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
Develop litigation strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.
Support and participate in mediation, arbitration, and trial proceedings.
Contribute to business development efforts and maintain strong client relationships.
Qualifications :
J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in the North Carolina State Bar (or ability to obtain admission promptly).
2–7 years of litigation experience , preferably with a focus on commercial or business disputes.
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Experience with depositions, motion practice, and courtroom appearances is preferred.
Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills and professional judgment.
