Network Engineer

TEKsystems is looking to bring on an Tier 3 Network Engineer. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, someone who can drive without the need to be hand held through the day. Technically they are looking for an individual who can build out entire networks from scratch. This individual will need to be able to assess new environment and provide insight to how many switches, routers, firewalls, etc are needed. This Engineer needs to be able to build a network. This will be customer facing so this person needs to be strong in communication internally and externally. Expectation is that this person has the ability to work with firmware.

Day to day, this person will troubleshoot issues, work with FortiGate firewalls, support Hardware refreshes (300 switches in production). There will be support on the network, keeping firmware up to date, updating switches, as well as providing support for infrastructure security. This team supports 5-6,000 end users.

• This roll will have on-call, 80% of the time they are simply on call. 20% of the time they may be called in to go to a remote site in town.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00 / hr.
