South Bay Sand Blasting & Tank Cleaning, Inc. located in Honolulu, HI shipyard related subcontractor looking to hire an EHS Manager.

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly motivated Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii, supporting specialized tank cleaning and technical services supporting the US Navy at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY & IMF).

This role is critical to ensure full compliance with all Federal, State of Hawaii, and local environmental regulations and safety policies. The EHS Manager will lead and manage environmental programs and training initiatives, oversee waste management practices, and ensure jobsite safety standards are met throughout all phases of project execution.

Responsibilities :

• Develop, implement, and manage site-specific Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs.
• Ensure compliance with PHNSY & IMF environmental instructions.
• Conduct routine audits, inspections, and hazard assessments across job sites.
• Oversee waste characterization, accumulation, segregation, and documentation procedures.
• Train personnel and subcontractors in HAZWOPER, DOT Hazardous Materials, SPCC, and ODS / NESHAP protocols.
• Coordinate with Government COR and ensure timely submittal of all required EHS documentation.
• Stay on-site during work operations and provide daily safety briefings and field support.
• Review and approve environmental submittals, waste profiles, and sampling plans.
