Working Title : IT Business Systems Analyst
Location : Remote
Position Summary
We are seeking an IT Business Systems Analyst with very strong SQL skills and direct UCPath experience. These two qualifications are required for success in this role. The analyst will support HR, Payroll, and related business systems by performing data validation, troubleshooting integrations, executing testing, and analyzing business processes. The role serves as a critical liaison between HR, Payroll, and IT teams.
Key Requirements
Must-Have Skills
- Very strong SQL proficiency
Ability to validate HR and Payroll data, troubleshoot integrations, and navigate complex table relationships.
Hands-on UCPath experienceDirect work with the UCPath system at a University of California campus, including understanding of :
o Data model
o Funding structures & uploads
o Combo codes & FAUs
o Benefits files
o Payroll validations
Additional Preferred Experience
HR and Payroll system background (e.g., PeopleSoft HCM, Oracle HCM)Functional experience supporting HR, Payroll, Workforce Administration, or BenefitsAbility to :o Gather and analyze business requirements
o Document processes and workflows
o Perform system and integration testing
o Support production issues
o Partner cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, and IT teams

Partnering with HR, Payroll, and campus stakeholders to understand business processesDefining and documenting system requirementsSupporting configuration, data integrity, and system maintenance across ERP functionsAnalyzing new business requirements and creating functional specificationsFacilitating process improvement initiativesConducting system testing, including integration and UATResolving routine to complex production issuesRequirements
