Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic production team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various types of forklifts, ensuring efficient loading and unloading of products at work stations, and maintaining a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.

Schedule is 7AM - 3 : 30PM Mon-Fri and occasional Saturdays.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to move materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Key Responsibilities :
  • Pull materials from the shop floor and deliver them to production stations.
  • Stage and verify finished products; pack, crate, load, and secure shipments.
  • Maintain in-process inventory : label, log, and place materials in stock.
  • Document material movements (delivered units and shipment details).
  • Operate and inspect material-handling equipment (e.g., forklifts); clean equipment after shift.
  • Support shipping / receiving clerks when needed.
  • Monitor production hoppers via the Andon lighting system to ensure parts availability.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in material handling
  • Proficient in operating forklifts (bonus for using a forklift to move 55 gallon drums)
  • Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes within a distribution setting.
  • Must be able to lift heavy loads regularly; physical stamina is essential for this role.
  • A valid forklift operator certification is preferred.
