Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Provide clear and concise medical information.
  • Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans; ensure coding and billing compliance.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging; perform procedures as needed; collaborate with specialists for further evaluation.
  • Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals; participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions; provide consultative services.
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives; review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement; implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice; stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements; participate in quality audits.
  • Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices; participate in ongoing medical education and training; contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments; diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans; prescribe medications and therapies; provide health promotion and disease prevention education.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals; consult with physicians and specialists as needed; coordinate patient care across various settings.

Job Requirements

  • A valid and unrestricted California medical license.
  • Board eligible or board certified in a specified area of medical specialty (ABMS or AOA).
  • Completion of an accredited postgraduate training program.
