Pay Range : $20.00+ per hour (based on experience) Industry : Electrical - Industrial / Commercial Location : Fulton, MO Job Overview Lumix Electrical, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Electrical Designer to assist in the creation of complete electrical design packages for custom-designed industrial and commercial electrical projects. In this role, you will design detailed electrical schematics, panel layouts, equipment layouts, and component specifications while ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), safety standards, and manufacturing requirements. You'll collaborate closely with multiple departments to support both design and production, ensuring projects run smoothly from concept to completion. Key Responsibilities- Assist in creating electrical designs for custom projects, ensuring compliance with NEC, safety, and manufacturing standards.- Produce detailed electrical schematics, panel and cabinet layouts, equipment layouts, and bills of material using AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and other tools.- Calculate electrical ratings and prepare electrical labeling and special instructions for applied electrical systems.- Coordinate with project managers, field electricians, controls engineers, sales, and other departments to deliver accurate and timely design information.- Support scheduling and production flow requirements; attend production meetings as needed.- Participate in product improvement efforts and prepare as-built documentation for completed projects.- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support to manufacturing, purchasing, sales, and service teams.- Interpret specifications, NEC requirements, and system standards to ensure safety and compliance.- Generate purchasing documentation for electrical components and materials. Qualifications & Skills- Knowledge and familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) preferred.- Proficiency in AutoCAD (minimum 2 years preferred).- Experience in commercial or industrial electrical systems preferred.- Strong computer skills; experience with Microsoft Excel and Word preferred.- Associate's degree preferred; equivalent technical experience considered.- Minimum 1 year of NEC-related work preferred.- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.- Must be able to commute to Fulton, MO or relocate to within a 30-mile radius before starting work.
