    We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team! As a Medical Assistant, you will be preparing for each patient visit by preparing charts and pulling notes before their arrival, providing routine support alongside APPs and Orthopedic Spine Surgeons, and assisting with keeping track of tests and lab reporting to ensure everything arrives on time and the patient is kept informed on their condition and care. You will also be helping manage the inventory of medical supplies, setting up machines and testing equipment, and cleaning instruments and rooms as needed. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, an interest in learning more about a working medical environment, and has previous medical office experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Providing excellent customer service with the ability to pay impeccable attention to details when rooming patients, taking medical histories and vitals, and documenting into our EMR, while maintaining a warm, friendly, and reassuring demeanor.
    • Providing excellent telephone etiquette, while answering multiple phone lines and actively aspiring to reach properly defined goals and objectives while maintaining positive relationships with patients, insurance representatives, clinic associates and hospital staff.
    • Going above and beyond to ensure patient expectations are exceeded and quickly identifying and responding to patient portal messages / emails and transmitting prescription refills as directed.
    • Communicating and partnering with community facilities, practices and insurance companies to ensure a smooth and efficient patient care experience while obtaining prior authorizations for care, ordering diagnostic testing and sending referrals.
    • Developing, maintaining, and updating proper systems for keeping the inventory processes organized including : DME, educational brochures / pamphlets and restocking supplies in exam rooms.
    • Qualifications

    • BLS Certification or Certified Medical Assistant desired
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Strong attention to detail
