At CAL Financial, Inc., a thriving insurance agency in Edina, Minnesota, we are looking for talented Medicare and Individual Health Insurance brokers. In this role, you will guide clients through the complexities of selecting Medicare and individual health insurance solutions, both on and off the MNsure Exchange.

We provide training, support and technical tools to foster your success. And, we are one of just five MNsure Broker Enrollment Centers in the Twin Cities seven-county metro area, allowing consumers to work with us over the phone, see us face-to-face via appointment, or walk in at designated times to meet with a certified MNsure Navigator or Broker.

Prior experience as an independent insurance broker or captive insurance agent is a plus, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Client Support : Provide exceptional service to clients by understanding their healthcare insurance needs and offering personalized solutions.
  • Market Research : Stay informed about the latest healthcare insurance products and trends to better serve our clients.
  • Policy Design : Create and tailor insurance plans that meet each client's specific needs and financial constraints.
  • Relationship Management : Build and maintain trusting relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Sales Strategies : Implement effective sales tactics to boost client acquisition and retention.
  • Compliance : Ensure all insurance dealings comply with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Requirements

    Licensing : Obtain and / or maintain relevant state licenses required for insurance brokering.

    Communication Skills : Clarity and professionalism in both verbal and written communication.

    Customer Service : Strong commitment to creating excellent client experiences from first encounter to final follow-up.

    Analytical Skills : Ability to understand a client's personal situation and make a suitable recommendation.

    Networking : Ability to grow and maintain relationships with clients, companies, industry contacts and colleagues.

    Tech Proficiency : Adept with CRM software and other insurance-related tools, as well as Microsoft Office.

    Problem Solver : Persistence and patience to navigate administrative and technological difficulties.

    Education : Bachelor's degree preferred but not necessary.
