What You Will Do :

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs a variety of duties related to hospital payment posting

Such duties may include, but are not limited to, the following :

Processes and / or posts deposits, payments, denials, and adjustments.

Reconciles manual and electronic batches,

Performs other duties as assigned by direct supervisors.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Basic computer skills.

Perform a variety of duties often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.

Accept responsibility for the direction, control and planning of an one’s own work.

Ability to work independently.

Recognize the rights and responsibilities of patient confidentiality.

Convey empathy and compassion to those experiencing pain, physical or emotional distress and / or grief.

Relate to others in a manner which creates a sense of teamwork and cooperation.

Communicate effectively with people from every socioeconomic, cultural and educational background.

What You Will Need :

High school diploma or equivalent.

0-2 years of related experience and general knowledge of payor-specific or medical specialty reimbursement.

What Would Be Nice To Have :

Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding. Previous experience with Athena / Waystar / Phreesia / EPIC​
