Main Purpose of Job
The Director of Clinical Services has supervisory and administrative oversight of all clinical staff, with the exception of the medical staff. The person in this position is also responsible for supervising the JLG-RICA Admission Coordinator, to ensure the pre-admission and admission interviews / referrals are processed and scheduled efficiently; the Director of Clinical Services is also directly responsible for screening referrals to the JLG-RICA program and coordinating / reviewing these, as appropriate, with other JLG-RICA Program Administrators. This position may be required to work evening and weekends as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates must possess a Doctorate in Psychology from an accredited college or university acceptable to the Maryland Board of Examiners of Psychologists and five (5) years of experience working with adolescents with emotional disabilities and court involved youth psychiatric patients, including at least three (3) years of experience leading or supervising doctoral or other psychology staff. The incumbent must obtain a current Maryland license to practice as a Psychologist from the Board prior to appointment.

Candidates for this classification must be licensed as a Psychologist by the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Psychologists prior to permanent appointment to a position in State service. Applicants who do not have a Maryland license may also apply pending receipt of the required license. When the license has been obtained, submit a copy of the license to the Maryland Department of Health Testing Unit.
