Production Technician (Edgewood, MD) - Union

Job Description

Performs diagnostic and quality tests on manufactured or purchased products. Works primarily from standardized methods and process instructions, product prints, written, and verbal instructions and defined workmanship standards. Uses test equipment, tools, and machines, hand and power driven, plus all gauges and fixtures necessary to perform the assigned work.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Performs adjustments and / or measurements of devices under test; may be tasked to test, check, validate parts, sub-assemblies and assemblies used in a downstream process or for use by the end user.
• Troubleshoots products to identify workmanship defects, suspect and / or defective components and assemblies.
• Responsible for quality and quantity of work performed.
• Responsible for general housekeeping of designated areas.
• May be required to perform assembly operations and / or pack finished product prior to shipping.
• Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Actions and behaviors must comply with all applicable U.S. export and security regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate Degree in Electronics or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar field.
