System Integration / Test Engineer - Entry Level

Lockheed Martin Space in Littleton, CO is seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented early career Test Engineer. As a Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and execution of test procedures for avionics circuit card assemblies and electronics boxes. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the successful testing of these units through various environmental and functional tests, including vibration, thermal cycling, thermal vacuum, EMI, and mechanical shock testing. The successful candidate will have experience and / or knowledge of the following : engineering drawings, schematics, sketches, specifications, and standards; circuit card components; and any computer software language application and basic software skills.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute test procedures for circuit card assemblies and electronics boxes
  • Follow units through their entire test campaign, from initial functional testing to environmental testing
  • Ensure test discipline is maintained throughout the test process, including during normal test flow and failure conditions
  • Perform troubleshooting to identify root cause of failures and recommend solutions to proceed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve test-related issues and improve test processes

Desired skills :

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (Electrical Eng, Mechanical Eng, and Aerospace Eng preferred)
  • Work or classroom knowledge and experience with circuit card components (resistors, transistors, inductors, capacitors, diodes, sensors, etc.)
  • Familiarity with multiple testing environments including thermal, thermal vacuum, and vibration
  • Experience with detailed test troubleshooting; including documentation and communication of test failures to stakeholders
  • Able to interpret drawings, schematics, sketches, specifications, and standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

    Ability to work remotely :

    Onsite Full-time : The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

    Work Schedule :

    9x80 every other Friday off
