- Provide for coverage of other mainframe system administrators as necessary.
- Provide on-call support after hours and weekends, participate in an on-call rotation. Contract Duration : to years (renewed annually). Responsibilities
- Install, implement, test, tune and support IBM and rd party mainframe software.
- Provide Support for customers and application developers.
- Disaster Recovery preparedness by maintaining, tuning, and testing backup and recovery processes. Perform system recovery if necessary.
- Perform storage management, capacity planning, system performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Support network connectivity to mainframe TCPIP, VIPA etc.
- Support computer operations and other mainframe staff to ensure smooth operation of mainframe batch and online systems.
- Experience with zOS administration such as IODF, HCD, SMPE, zOSMF, and performing System upgrades.
- Experience with performing archive, backup and recovery of datasets, and disaster preparedness.
- Experience with mainframe batch scheduling such as ESP or Control-M and tuning of system performance with WLM.
- Experience with REXX and JCL and administering Unix System Services.
- Experience with mainframe networking such as TCPIP, VIPA, VTAM, and administration of RACF digital certificates for encryption technologies for secure FTP and secure TN using Policy Agent.
- In-depth experience performing troubleshooting of zOS and rd party mainframe software .

o IBM IDAA loader or Data Virtualization Manager
o IBM Cloud Tape Connector
o SAS
o DB and / or IMS database systems
Experience and Education :
Minimum of years as zOS system administrator (system programmer).Thirty () semester ( quarter) units of completed, post high-school coursework from an accredited university or technical school in Computer Information Systems, Business / Public Administration, or a closely related field.EEO :
