Key responsibilities include receiving, decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, sterilizing, and distributing surgical instruments and equipment; ensuring accurate instrument tracking and lot documentation; adhering to AAMI guidelines, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements; maintaining equipment and sterilization process records; supporting OR readiness and instrument inventory; identifying and addressing equipment issues; collaborating with perioperative teams to optimize workflow; and pursuing ongoing competency in sterilization techniques, sterilizer validation, and instrument care.
