Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Project Engineer to join our construction team, with a focus on commercial and retail projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting project execution from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring seamless coordination between field operations, subcontractors, and the project management team. Key Responsibilities
Support the Site Superintendent and Project Manager in daily project operations.
Maintain and manage project documentation, including daily logs, submittals, subcontractor lists, subcontracts, and change orders.
Assist with scheduling and coordination of trades, logistics, and material procurement.
Track insurance certificates, RFIs, and project-related correspondence.
Help manage project closeout, including as-built drawings and final documentation.
Review project drawings and schematics; ensure all work aligns with plans and specifications.
Interface with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
Assist with the implementation of quality control and safety protocols on-site.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
Prior experience working on retail or commercial construction projects is required.
Solid understanding of construction drawings and technical documents.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of MS Project and Prolog is a plus.
Familiarity with Procore is a strong advantage.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative project team.
Exceptional time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment & Conditions
Primarily field-based with exposure to active construction sites.
Must be able to walk, climb ladders, and conduct site inspections as needed.
