Level 2 Network Technician

Location : Bronx, NY.

Salary : $45,000 - $53,000 (commensurate with experience).

Custom Computer Specialists (CCS) is seeking a Level 2 Network Technician to join our growing team, working directly with one of our valued clients. If you're experienced in network hardware / software, wired and wireless support, and thrive in a customer-facing environment, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct wired network surveys and document workstation locations campus-wide.
  • Perform wireless surveys in varied building environments.
  • Migrate network-connected devices efficiently and accurately.
  • Provide post-migration technical support to end users.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to wired and wireless connectivity.
  • Log and update service tickets in internal ticketing systems.
  • Assist with network access issues and resolve connectivity disruptions.
  • Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work actively across the campus (walking, carrying equipment, conducting walkthroughs).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications :

  • A+, Network+, Security+ certifications.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on hardware and networking support experience.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills with both hardware and software.
  • Experience with Windows 10, 11, and MacOS environments.
  • Understanding of wireless networks and device connectivity.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Windows and Mac).
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage time effectively.
  • Physical ability to move throughout large campuses and perform technical walkthroughs.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • CCNA certification preferred.
  • Experience supporting users in an enterprise / educational environment.
