Plant Controller

Overview :

The Plant Controller is responsible for managing all financial operations, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for the plant. This role ensures compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements, supports profitability through actionable financial insights, and provides strategic guidance to plant leadership.

Key Responsibilities :

Financial Reporting & Analysis :

Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, variance analyses, and other financial reports.

Ensure data integrity for reporting and decision-making across the plant.

Budgeting & Forecasting :

Lead the preparation of plant budgets and forecasts in collaboration with other departments.

Align plant business plans and KPIs with overall company strategies.

Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve financial performance.

Compliance & Governance :

Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations and company policies.

Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Support internal and external audits, providing all necessary information.

Accounting & Operations :

Oversee plant accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cost accounting.

Monitor plant performance against established goals and prepare relevant reporting for stakeholders.

Stakeholder & External Relationships :

Manage relationships with auditors, tax consultants, and other financial professionals to ensure timely and accurate reporting and compliance.

Team Leadership & Development :

Develop and lead a team of finance professionals, ensuring training, engagement, and professional growth.

Provide financial guidance and consulting to plant teams to enhance understanding of financial information and its business impact.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s in Finance / Business Administration preferred).

5+ years of experience as a Controller, preferably in automotive or manufacturing environments.

Experience with SAP is a plus.

SOX compliance experience is a plus.

Strong background in corporate finance, financial planning, accounting, and strategic planning.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
