Description : Job Summary :

The CAD Operator supports engineering and production teams by creating accurate and detailed drawings for metal building components using computer-aided design software. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively to meet project requirements and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities :

As a CAD Operator, you will :

  • Create and revise detailed drawings and designs based on specifications and engineering input.
  • Ensure accuracy and adherence to company standards and industry codes in all drawings.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and production teams to ensure designs meet customer and production requirements.
  • Maintain organized records of project drawings, revisions, and documentation.
  • Utilize CAD software to produce high-quality drawings, primarily for metal building components.
  • Assist in resolving design-related challenges or discrepancies during production.
  • Stay current with advancements in CAD software and industry trends to continuously improve efficiency.
  • Job duties include but are not limited to the above.

    • Requirements :

    Required Education, Experience & Skills :

  • High School Diploma or GED; certification or associate degree in CAD drafting or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar programs.
  • 2+ years of experience in drafting / design, preferably in manufacturing or metal building components.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret and create technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Legal work authorization in the United States (sponsorship will not be provided for this role).
  • Position based onsite.
