We are seeking a Programmer Analyst with immediate availability that will thrive in a challenging and rewarding process-oriented environment in support of the U.S. Marine Corps Prepositioning Programs at Blount Island Command (BICmd).

Location :

  • This position is located in Jacksonville, FL , with potential for CONUS / OCONUS travel in support of Marine Corps Prepositioning Programs.

Responsibilities :

  • Analyze functional business applications and design specifications to support Marine Corps Prepositioning Programs, including MCPIC, ICODES, and iPRIME Suite.
  • Develop block diagrams, logic flow charts, and detailed system documentation for logistics information systems.
  • Translate design specifications into software code and scripts for database management, reporting, and integration tasks.
  • Test, debug, and refine computer programs to ensure accuracy, improve efficiency, and meet user requirements.
  • Enhance existing applications to reduce operating time, improve interoperability, or meet new Marine Corps requirements.
  • Support the integration of MCPIC with Authoritative Data Sources (e.g., TFSMS, GCSS-MC, OIS) by developing and refining data exchange processes.
  • Provide programming support to capture and implement approved plan changes, container estimates, and Capability Set updates.
  • Assist Help Desk and FSR teams by troubleshooting system-level software issues and developing fixes for MCPIC and iPRIME Suite.
  • Prepare both program-level and user-level documentation for government review and acceptance.
  • Provide technical direction to developers, testers, and systems analysts to ensure software updates and deliverables meet government deadlines.
  • Required Qualifications :

  • Certifications in programming, software development, or database management.
  • Demonstrated experience coding, debugging, and documenting software applications.
  • Security Clearance :

  • US Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security clearance at the minimum level of Secret
  • Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • BA / BS + 3–5 years of experience or HS + 8–10 years of experience in software programming, systems analysis, or logistics IT support.
  • Preferred Additional Skills :

  • Familiarity with Marine Corps logistics IT systems (MCPIC, ICODES, GCSS-MC, TFSMS).
  • Knowledge of database management systems (Oracle, SQL) and reporting tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with the ability to design efficient algorithms.
  • Ability to work closely with government stakeholders and system users to refine requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with developers, testers, and analysts.
