Experience & Requirements

Graduate of an accredited medical school.

• Fully licensed to practice medicine in the state of employment
• Board certified in primary care specialty (Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Public Health or Occupational Medicine) with administrative experience in corrections and / or managed healthcare delivery.
• Current DEA registration. Board certified, eligible, or qualified by the state law / regulations to practice medicine.
• Requires critical thinking, organizational, decisive judgment, communication, good customer service skills. Must be able to handle multiple tasks, be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate actions as needed.
• Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirement.

A background check, security clearance and drug screening are required for this role.

While in charge of a site, this level of position does not manage regular physicians.
