Behavioral Health Technician

Position is a PRN-as needed- Day Shift - Shift 7am-7 : 30pm working at Oro Valley Hospital in the Behavioral Health Unit.

Summary :

Provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric adults with psychiatric disorders. Ensures the safety and well-being of patients.

Position Qualifications / Minimum Requirements

Education :

Required : High School / GED or equivalent experience

Preferred : Post High School vocational / specialized training

Experience :

Required : One (1) year experience in behavioral health or caring for the elderly.

Skills :

Appropriate prioritization and planning skills, while achieving safety and quality in a high volume environment; Engaging and effective communication and service skills; Adherence to policy and procedures; Process improvement oriented; Self-initiative to assist with whatever is needed.

Licenses / Certifications :

Required : American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) BLS

Handle With Care (HWC) certification required within 30 days of start date
