Job Description

Job Title : Clinical Nurse I

Profession : Registered Nurse

Shift : Monday - Friday

Hours per Shift : 8 : 30 am - 5 pm

Experience : Minimum 1 year of home health experience required

License : Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California

Certifications : Current BLS certification required prior to clinical rotation

Must-Have :

• Minimum of two years of acute clinical nursing experience in home health care required.
• Must be a licensed driver with an insured automobile in good working order.

Description :

The Clinical Nurse I role provides direct patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.

The nurse collaborates with other disciplines of the health care team to ensure the delivery of safe, timely, and appropriate quality patient care.

This includes providing physical assessments, IV and infusion nursing interventions, pain management, medication administration, specimen collection, meeting nutritional needs, and teaching and discharge needs of the assigned patients.

Utilizes the nursing process based on evidence-based best practices to meet patient care needs.

Evaluates and adjusts the nursing care process as necessary, consulting as needed and conferring with appropriate resource personnel when making ethical / legal / medical dilemma decisions.

Performs other duties as assigned.
