About The Position
A healthcare facility in Emporia, VA is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Primary Care Physician for locum coverage from December 2025 through mid-January 2026 . This outpatient role involves providing comprehensive primary care to patients across all age groups in a rural Southern Virginia community.
Job Responsibilities :
- Provide high-quality primary care services to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Conduct routine exams, diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions.
- Perform minor office procedures such as suturing and incision & drainage.
- Provide women’s health services such as pelvic exams and Pap smears (preferred).
- Collaborate with virtual or on-site internal medicine physicians as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic EMR .
- Ensure patient safety and follow established clinical protocols.
