Transmission & Distribution Superintendent
We are seeking a dedicated Transmission & Distribution Superintendent responsible for managing and overseeing construction activities related to transmission and distribution projects. The role involves ensuring efficient scheduling and completion of contractual construction activities, maintaining job progress continuity, and maximizing efficiencies.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee construction scheduling for T&D related activities of subcontractors to ensure timely completion.
- Supervise high voltage transmission lines, transmission line structures, drilled piers, spread footings, grounding, substation equipment, and environmental requirements.
- Ensure safety, productivity, and efficient use of materials and equipment across construction efforts.
- Manage subcontractor compliance with contractual obligations for designated T&D construction activities.
- Build effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, and representatives from various entities.
- Collaborate with project management to develop and implement project procedures and standards.
- Authorize purchase requisitions and field design change requests under supervision.
- Oversee overall project safety and regularly review site-specific safety documentation.
- Complete daily field reports and capture construction progress through photographs.
- Assess future work activities and address concerns using subcontractors' 3-week look ahead report.
- Develop marked-up and as-built drawings for record set documents and respond to RFIs.
- Direct subcontractors to adhere to project schedules and verify progress.
- Verify that material deliveries meet specifications and are stored properly.
- Coordinate with QA / QC Manager to ensure all welders are qualified.
- Witness equipment setting and alignment, and oversee hydrostatic testing.
- Develop punch lists for items not in compliance or incomplete.
- Ensure current drawing revisions are used in the field and manage field change orders.
- Oversee craft supervision and project staffing, as well as site material and tool management.
- Supervise daily physical construction efforts and ensure compliance with codes and specifications.
- Read and interpret isometric drawings, structural drawings, and P&ID's.
- Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.

Bachelor's Degree and 7 years of construction management or craft supervision experience on T&D projects, or9 years of construction management or craft supervision experience on T&D projects, orHigh School Diploma / GED and 11 years of construction management or craft supervision experience on T&D projects.Excellent communication and leadership skills. Strong safety experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite. Ability to meet company driving requirements.
Work Environment :
The work environment includes daily coordination of all field activities with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency. The role involves supervising physical construction and ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. The environment requires the use of protective gear and adherence to safety standards. The superintendent will collaborate closely with various teams and manage subcontractors effectively.

This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay and Benefits :
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
