Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)- Part Time and Full Time Position Available

Requirements :

  • Preferred SPORTS, EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY, or EXERCISE SCIENCE background.
  • Must have valid Physical Therapy Assistant license / certificate in the state in which applying for work.
  • Must have graduated from an accredited physical therapy assistant program
  • Current CPR certification
  • Exceptional patient therapy skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
  • Open to treat patients through the entire lifespan
  • Team oriented

Additional Qualifications Needed :

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English

    • Job Description :

  • Preparing for each patient’s therapy
  • Assisting in the transportation of patients when moving to or from a treatment area
  • Reading patient evaluations
  • Being very familiar with the Plan of Care the physical therapist set in place for any given patient and, if need be, relaying any concerns about the Plan of Care
  • Administering balance and muscle strength tests
  • Administer manual exercises, massage or traction to help relieve pain, increase patient strength or decrease or prevent deformity.
  • Record prognosis, treatment, response and progress in patient's chart or computer database.
  • Stay up to date on continuing education and attend continuing education courses
  • Help implement and or execute the marketing plan.

    Pay : $26.00 - $33.00 per hour
