About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief of General Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, and Palliative Medicine to lead a newly unified Division that encompasses primary care, hospital medicine, geriatrics, and palliative medicine. This dynamic physician-leader will be responsible for guiding the Division in creating a comprehensive academic home for these essential and evolving areas of care. The role involves overseeing all clinical, educational, research, and administrative activities, with a focus on advancing integrated, patient-centered models of care, supporting faculty development, and promoting academic productivity. The ideal candidate will be an academic physician with a strong leadership track record in internal medicine and a commitment to advancing health equity, mentoring, and fostering innovation in care delivery.
Candidates for the Chief position must have an M.D. or D.O., be board certified in Internal Medicine, and have academic credentials suitable for an Associate Professor level or higher. The Chief will play a foundational role in medical education, residency training, and interdisciplinary collaboration, and must be dedicated to these missions. Strong business acumen is also a key requirement for this leadership role. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with affiliated teaching hospitals and healthcare systems to provide a wide range of clinical experience and training opportunities for faculty, staff, and students.
