About The Role

MacKillop Family Services is looking for passionate individuals to join our Out of Home Care team, supporting children and young people with complex needs in a safe, therapeutic residential setting.
As a Residential Youth Care Worker, you'll help create a warm home environment, respond to emotional and daily needs, and support young people to build life skills and confidence.
This is a fulltime / parttime / casual opportunity based throughout our Wimmera Southwest region within our Out of Home Care Program.
This position reports to the Regional Coordinator.
Key Selection Criteria
A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or a similar or relevant qualification such as a Diploma of Community Services, Social Work, or another related tertiary qualification.
A genuine interest in young people and their wellbeing.
Demonstrate empathy for young people in our care in an open-minded and non-judgmental manner.
Highly developed capacity for emotional self-regulation including the capacity to set and maintain consistent boundaries to provide safety, stability and consistency.

Competitive hourly rate in the SCHADS Award Level 2-3, dependent on qualification and experience.
