School Health Registered Nurse

Position Summary :

We are presently seeking a dedicated nurse to join Urban Health Plan (UHP) in the capacity of Registered Nurse for our School Health Division. In school health we provide elementary, middle-school, and high school students with comprehensive primary care, dental, and mental health care.

As the School Health Nurse, you will provide patient care to students within our Bronx School Health sites and monitor overall nursing compliance and needs . You will join an interdisciplinary team of physicians, physicians assistants, nurse practitioners, clinical social workers, medical assistants / phlebotomists, and administration to carry out quality primary care within our schools.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required + 2-5 years of related pediatric care experience.
• NYS Registered Professional Nurse, required.
• Bilingual English / Spanish is strongly preferred.
• Excellent 'bedside' manner, compassion, empathy, and team-driven attributes are essential.
• Knowledge / training in electronic health records and Microsoft Office.

Key Duties :

Starting Compensation : Minimum $98,560 / annum; Maximum $103,560 / annum

Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule :

Onsite, Bronx, NY, Monday to Friday 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm.
