Job Summary

Memorial Hermann TMC Blood Bank is on the lookout for a Lead Blood Bank Medical Technologist. The ideal candidate must hold an ASCP or AMT certification. While SBB certification is advantageous, it is not mandatory. We are searching for a candidate experienced in managing laboratory operations within a large academic health system. This role entails overseeing daily laboratory functions, including staff scheduling, ensuring quality standards, cost-efficiency, and patient satisfaction. You will be the representative of the laboratory during the absence of the manager and are responsible for delivering appropriate patient care according to the specific needs of the patient population.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education : Bachelor’s degree in a Biological Science (equivalent qualifications evaluated on a case-by-case basis for foreign education).
• Licenses / Certifications : ASCP or AMT Certified Medical Technologist, CLS (ASCP or ASCP-International), or MLS (ASCP or ASCP-International) CM.
