HVAC Technician

Position Summary
Casa Health Care is seeking a highly skilled HVAC Technician to support our seven Northwest Indiana campuses . The technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across multiple facilities. This role ensures that residents, staff, and visitors enjoy a safe, healthy, and comfortable environment by keeping all HVAC systems operating efficiently and compliant with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, diagnose, and repair HVAC systems, including furnaces, boilers, chillers, rooftop units, and refrigeration equipment
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and maintain accurate service logs and documentation
Monitor, adjust, and calibrate systems to maintain proper temperature, humidity, ventilation, and air quality
Ensure compliance with OSHA, infection control, and all state / federal regulatory requirements
Respond promptly to work orders, service calls, and emergency repair requests
Coordinate with facility leadership to minimize operational downtime and disruptions
Assist with general facility maintenance tasks when needed
Maintain inventory of HVAC tools, supplies, and replacement parts
Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of 5 years of HVAC experience required (healthcare or commercial facility preferred)
EPA Refrigeration Certification (Type I & II or Universal) required
HVAC certification or completion of an accredited technical training program preferred
Strong knowledge of HVAC diagnostics, system controls, and repair techniques
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and safely work in various indoor / outdoor environments
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel among all 7 Casa Health Care locations
